As a result of this meeting, I reviewed with staff the numerous comments received and concerns expressed in response to each version of the wall chart. After reviewing these items, I am not comfortable moving forward with the wall chart at this point in time. The Maine Quality Forum believes it is in the best interest of the In a Heartbeat project to focus team energy on the data manual and protocol, which bring everyone together, rather than on the wall chart, which, to date, has been very divisive. If the Committee feels strongly about revisiting the wall chart, I believe such a discussion warrants a face-to-face meeting of the Executive Committee rather than email correspondence. On behalf of the Quality Forum, I am thrilled with the collaborative nature of In a Heartbeat, and the common goal to sustain it as we move forward during this critical phase of the project.
