GREETINGS FROM ARGY’S CUBBY with a view of the STATE HOUSE DOME at
the Department of Education
ARTS NEWS
As of last week life in my cubby has changed. With schools closed
and most of you officially on summer break and the 123rd legislative
session adjourned as of Friday; it is very quiet here! The sun no
longer shines in during the early morning hours and the air
conditioning makes me wonder what the temperature really is
outside. To learn more about the reorganization law and to locate
the meeting dates for learning more about the reorganization go to:

PUBLIC TV
There's an interesting film coming up about a remarkable teacher,
Rafe, who works with fifth graders in Los Angeles on Shakespeare plus
lots of basic academics. He builds curriculum with high expectations
in many subjects. The film is showing on public television, Aug 7,
2007 - check local listings. He also has two books out. Inspiring!

other disruptive behavior in schools. For more information contact
instructor, Joanne Boynton, UMaine Peace Studies faculty at 338-1522.
QUOTE OF THE NEWSLETTER
Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and
discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets
are one's mistakes.
