Suggested Model Now Available Online


The suggested model for reorganizing school units, including maps,  
lists, criteria, and other materials, is now posted on the Department  
website.  You will see links to it from the homepage, or you can go  
to www.maine.gov/education/supportingschools.

This model was prepared at the request of legislative leadership and  
was developed based on the draft language of the proposal from the  
Appropriations Committee's subcommittee on education.  We hope it  
will prove a useful tool to legislators as they deliberate on a final  
version of school administrative reorganization, and to school  
administrators, parents, community members and others as they begin  
to envision how their school units could be shaped in the future.
