Recently, my 90 year old mother visited for a few days. She spent her afternoons in a beach chair, on the deck, napping in the sun. She reminded me of how important it is to do that, even if it is only for a few minutes each day. I hope the sun is shining on your new school year! Below is the link to the latest newsletter which will be posted in the next day (if it isn't already). http://www.maine.gov/education/lres/vpa/newsletter/artsed42.pdf I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones while in Aroostook County during the next two weeks.... I had a lovely trip to Aroostook County on Thursday and Friday with the Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) team. The light color made such an impact on the environment, it was lovely! We participated in the Central Aroostook Council on Education (CACE) workshop day. About 350 educators participated and had the choice from 32 workshops. September in the county is beautiful! Thank you to David Ouellette and the other educators who provided the opportunity for technology learning to take place and to the arts educators who attended my sessions. If anyone has an item to donate for door prizes for our upcoming events please contact me! I'd appreciate it!
