I just celebrated my 4 year anniversary at the Department and I was
shocked when I woke up last week with a "teacher dream". I am
beginning to think that they may never go away. It is that time of
year: Back to School. For folks in Aroostook County some have been in
session for three weeks. In other parts of the state students started
this week and for some that will not happen until after Labor Day. To
all of you I wish you a GREAT HAPPY NEW SCHOOL YEAR!

I certainly appreciate the work you do for Maine students and arts
education. I invite each of you to share your stories by writing a
blog post about an event, a classroom situation, a unit, your insights
or another topic! PLEASE email with blog ideas.

I am just back from my one week summer vacation (which you can read
about on the blog) and attempting to catch up with emails. Many to
answer, thank you for your patience if you are waiting to hear from me!

Below are the recent blog posts (I scheduled them to post while I was
on vacation) which you can access at http://meartsed.wordpress.com/
