A couple months back the findings from the statewide arts education  
census were posted at: http://www.maine.gov/education/lres/vpa/ 
news.html. The next phase of the work is underway....

Are You One of Maine's "Imagination Intensive Communities" ?

Nominate your community to be selected as one of six communities that  
use the resources they have to support the development of imagination  
in children and youth. Selected communities will receive:
-- Support to plan community conversations about “growing up  
-- Host a visiting panel
-- Be recognized locally and nationally for their work

Please take a look at the attached information (.pdf or word doc) or  
read it in the meartsedblog as well as the application form on the  
Maine Alliance for Arts Education's website (after Feb. 15th) www.maineartsed.org 
<http://www.maineartsed.org> . Don't delay--deadline for applications  
is March 15!
