[DOE-Arts] Loving the snow!

I know some people don't love the snow but I DO and I am thrilled with
what we've gotten during the last 5 days! I look forward to more of
the white stuff falling. I suggest snow shoeing because as the snow
settles and is still to deep to walk most places, snowshoes give me
the chance to go some interesting places in winter. My latest post
describes a recent walk.

The 2009-10 MLTI laptops have 20 photographs from Maine students that
were selected last year to be used on the screen saver. Once again
this unique opportunity is being offered to students in grades K-12
for the 2010-11 MLTI laptops. The JANUARY 24TH DEADLINE is fast
approaching. If you are interested please read the details on the blog
post called "Call for Photographs for the MLTI Laptops" at http://meartsed.wordpress.com/2010/01/14/call-for-photographs-for-the-mlti-laptops/

Thanks to everyone who has sent information for the blog. I have about
20 emails with information to include in the blog. I will be posting
all of it so please be sure and check the blog over the next few days.
Don't miss "Upcoming Events", "Prof Dev Opps", "Student Opps". They
can be found under "Pages" on the bottom right side of the meartsed
blog home page. The newest blog posts are listed below.

** Snow, snow, snow!
** MMEA and MAEA Boards Using Wikis - Collaborating with work
** Art Education Ning- Open to visitors only until January 23rd
** First Annual Fiddle Festival - March 20th, Thornton Academy

I have lost almost 100 contacts on the list-serv due to changes of
email addresses (they automatically delete). If you know of someone
who did not contact me with their new address and are wondering why
they no longer are receiving emails please let me know at argy.nestor at maine.gov

Happy Winter!

Make it a great day,
