It is hard to believe that winter is officially coming to an end this week (according to the calendar). In some places we have 4 feet of snow but the rain of last week has certainly shrunk it quickly. I am a bit sad but I must say visiting the Portland Flower Show gave me a bit of sunshine and something to imagine in the months ahead. And this week I am seeing the robins on my walks... what a site!

We've set a new record this week of visitors to the blog: 1137. Thank you to those who have visited and posted comments! There are several informational posts this week that I hope you find useful! They are listed below and can be accessed at http://meartsed.wordpress.com/.

Most importantly is this mornings blog post... I invite you to consider applying as one of the Regional Visual and Performing Arts Assessment Leaders. If you are interested in leading and taking a close look at assessment in the arts please be sure and read the most recent post to learn more. The blog post has a link to the application which can be found online http://www.maine.gov/education/lres/vpa/news.html.
