Some Tuesday's I just send the arts ed list-serv email before I am completely awake and this was one of those days. I apologize for including Lisa Marin instead of Lisa Gilman earlier today. Consider this email the "correct" one. Thanks Kal for picking up on my error!

Memorial Day was officially proclaimed in 1868. I hope you took the time today to honor those who have given their lives during war times. It certainly was a warm day at my home and the black flies and mosquitoes were biting! I worked in the garden, attended a beautiful wedding on the salt water, and canoed on a pond I had never been to. I hope you had a restful, deserved 3-day break!

Today also marks the beginning of the home stretch for the end of the year. I know music concerts and art exhibits are happening all over the state. Please let me know when yours is so I can let others know.

Also, if you know of any arts educators retiring this year, please email their names, schools, and years of service.

There were 927 visitors to the blog this week. YAHOooOOOoo! Thank you to those who have sent information and visited. You can see the latest blog topics below and access them at http://meartsed.wordpress.com/
