Not only has the grass gotten greener, the lupines are out at my home and they are lovely as they dance straight and tall. I am hoping the recent rain has secured the new plantings so they flourish for years to come.

Mom's 94th Birthday
My mother turns 94 this week and I hoping you will do me a favor and send her a birthday card. My hope is that she receives 94 of them!! Her address is: Sophie Nestor, Mason Christian Village, Room 104, 411 Western Row Road, Mason, OH 45040. Thanks so much!

MDOE art exhibit
The present art exhibit at the Maine Department of Education is Bangor elementary and middle school students. During July, August, and September Lake Region students artwork will be on display. I am looking for art teachers who would like to provide student artwork for next fall and winter. If you are interested please contact me at argy.nestor at maine.gov and I'd be glad to send the details. The culmination is an arts celebration that takes place at the Blaine House. You can read about Bangor's in a blog post (see below) which includes 3 kindergarten students performing a song they have written the music and words for, under the direction of elementary music teacher Anne Chamberlain-Small. YAY!

If you or an arts education colleague are retiring this month, please let me know so I can include your information in the blog post coming up soon! Thanks!
