Is March and Arts Education month really coming to an end?! WOWZER! I hope it has been a wonderful arts education month for you! Not sure about you, but the days and weeks are flying by and the weather is keeping me on my toes! My morning routine now includes checking the temperature to know if I should wear my winter coat, a fleece, or something in between!
Maine Arts Assessment Initiative
I hope you are considering taking on a regional or statewide leadership role and applying to be a teacher leader for the second phase of the Maine Arts Assessment Initiative. The deadline for applying is April 6th and you can read more from March 6th blog post at http://meartsed.wordpress.com/2012/03/06/calling-all-teacher-leaders/. If you've read the details and just need the application please go to http://www.maine.gov/education/lres/vpa/news.html. Remember: we need 8 music teachers, 8 visual art teachers, (one from each region of the state) 1 dance, and 1 theatre (statewide). If you have questions, please be sure and email me at argy.nestor at maine.gov. PLEASE SEND ME AN EMAIL IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO APPLY SO I CAN HAVE AN IDEA OF WHICH REGIONS OF THE STATE WHERE THERE ARE INTERESTED TEACHERS! Thanksssssss!
