[DOE-Arts] Memorial Day weekend!

The weekend was filled with recognition of the holiday as it was intended, to remember the soldiers who died in the Civil War, originally called Decoration Day. And, it also provided a chance to enjoy a gorgeous weekend on the water, in the garden, and with friends and family. Sadness struck when I heard the news of the passing of art teacher Jackie McTigue. No doubt, she will be sorely missed by her students and her school community and family. It was a reminder for me to "do good work" and to "live each day to the fullest"! I wish you well as you finish out the last days of May 2012.

I am looking for those of you who are retiring this year. Please send me your name, school, and years you've taught so I can include the information in a blog post. Or if you have a colleague who is retiring, please send me their information. THANKS!
