Over the weekend I traveled to the North Maine woods to Libby Camps<http://www.libbycamps.com> which is about 30 miles north of Mount Katahdin. Saturday had a rainy start but that didn't keep me inside for long. It was wonderful walking along Millinocket Lake and collecting a variety of driftwood, feathers, and pinecones. I hope you are enjoying this mild weather and have had a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunrises.

Below are the last weeks blog posts found at http://meartsed.wordpress.com/. Thanks to those who have sent information - the "Prof Dev Opps", "Student Opps" and "Upcoming Events" have new information added as well. Links for them can be found on the right bottom side of the front page of the blog.

Just a reminder that the First Lady's Maine is ME Student Art Challenge<http://meartsed.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/first-lady-invitation-for-student-artwork/> artwork is due at the Blaine House on October 30th. If you have questions check out the blog post<http://meartsed.wordpress.com/2012/09/06/first-lady-invitation-for-student-artwork/> or feel free to email me argy.nestor at maine.gov<mailto:argy.nestor at maine.gov>.
Periodically an arts teacher sends an email and asks "who is using a standards based report card"? If you are one of those teachers who is, please email and let me know. If you can send a copy of the report card, please do! Thanks so much!

Thank you for all you do to provide an outstanding arts education!

Make it a great day,
Argy
