Here is a gentle reminder that if you would like to provide input
regarding the Common Core State Standards, you have until the end of day
on October 13.  I have pasted below the notice I sent previously.

Common Core State Standards

            On September 21, the National Governors Association and the
Council of Chief State School Officers released the college and career
readiness draft of common standards for English language arts and
mathematics.  CCSSO is providing states and individuals a 30-day window
to respond.  The MDOE ELA and math specialists have created a Survey
Monkey to gather Maine-specific feedback which will inform the state's
response.  

To view the common core documents, go to http://www.corestandards.org/
and click on the "view standards" link.  You can also submit feedback to
CCSSO and NGA from that link.   The deadline is October 21.
