All school administrative units (SAUs) are required to enter 2008-2009 incidents data into the MEDMS/Infinite Campus State Edition Behavior Module which captures data on ALL students. Schools that send students to career and technical education centers are responsible for collecting and entering incidents involving those students. Please refer to Informational Letter 49 posted at http://www.maine.gov/tools/whatsnew/index.php?topic=edu_letters&id=65460 &v=article for more information about the reporting requirements. The Behavior tab has been added to the Student Information screen. Click on the General option under Student Information to access the Behavior Tab. Only authorized users who have been assigned to the Behavior user group by their local MEDMS/Infinite Campus administrator will have access to the Behavior tab. The training materials include a step-by-step PowerPoint presentation and a recorded WebEx training session. Instructions on how to access and enter data in the Behavior module are posted on the Project Portal at: http://support.infinitecampus.com/maine/pages/behavior-entry-training.ph p Please note: * When entering incident data into MEDMS, it is imperative that known student offenders be identified. The use of one reporting tool for ALL students, the MEDMS/Infinite Campus State Edition Behavior Module, will result in more efficient use of the SAUs' time in reporting these data, and more timely consolidation of the data for use by the Department. * All incidents require the identification of the: * Event Name - drop down list of incident types* * Behavior Role - only offenders are required * Behavior Resolution * The Weapon field is required for incidents involving a dangerous weapon and the Serious Bodily Injury checkbox is required if applicable. * All incidents must be entered using the web screens in the MEDMS/Infinite Campus State Edition or in the Infinite Campus District Edition.
