Volunteers read and donated books and lessons about agriculture to over 3500 Maine students in Kindergarten thru 4th Grade. Maine's First Lady, Karen Baldacci will once again start the program off on Tuesday, March 17th and then Volunteers will read to classrooms on Wednesday - Friday, March 18th - 20th. March 20th is officially National Ag Day www.agday.org. Volunteers will read excerpts from the book "All Around the Farm" that focus as much as possible on the type of agriculture they represent. They may also bring additional information about their own farm or commodity to share with the students.
