The event will feature a panel discussion on "Storytelling for Film and Television." The meeting will be at the Space Gallery, 538 Congress Street in Portland, on June 7, from 5-8 PM. The panel -- including Maine-based filmmakers Rush DeNooyer, Dana Rae Warren, Veronica Young, and Andy Davis -- will discuss the craft of storytelling for both documentary and narrative film. In addition to examining the overall importance of a strong story line, panelists will discuss specific storytelling techniques and methods. Panelists will also show examples of their work. Following the panelists' individual presentations, there will be plenty of time left for the audience to ask questions. The event is open to MFVA members as well as the general public, so feel free to bring any friends or colleagues who might be interested. There will be complimentary food and a cash bar. Admission is free for MFVA members. For non-members, the cost of admission is $5.00. For more information, please visit the MFVA website at www.mainefilm.com. Hope to see you there!
