The Maine Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship awards viewable online The purposes of the Individual Artist Fellowship Program are to reward artistic excellence, to advance the careers of Maine artists and to promote public awareness regarding the eminence of the creative sector in Maine. A jury selects Fellows on the sole basis of artistic excellence. Due to the competitiveness of the Individual Artist Fellowship program and to avoid conflict of interest, all jurors selected for this program reside out of state. To view the 2007 Fellowship recipients visit: http://mainearts.maine.gov/artists/fellowships/awardees.shtml Select 2007 from the table or look through past recipients by selecting the year of your choice. Awardees are listed according to the town of residence at the time of the award. There is more about the recipients of the Individual Fellowships or Traditional Arts Masters Apprentices, and a whole host of interesting information in the latest edition of the MaineArtsMag that was printed this week. The new edition will be available online soon but to receive hardcopies you can email Arts.Clerical at maine.gov and ask to be added to the mailing list. ************************ 4. Did You Know?
