[MinervaCats] Graphic Novels & the volume field

Hi all,

Would someone please remind me of the correct protocol to use when 
cataloging graphic novels so the volume information is clearly 
available on paging lists but that doesn't use the volume field 
(thereby kicking the item-level hold function into play)?

I'm thinking of titles like Ranma 1/2, Chobits, etc., that do not have 
individual titles for each volume. I ask now because I'm holding 
Sardine in Outer Space, vol. 1, in my hands, and I want to make sure 
it's done properly.
