Dear Brian,

We do not currently have a generic template for electronic resources, but
when cataloging online journals you could use one of your other templates,
adapting it for this use.

Important steps to remember when working with this material type are:

   1. The material type in the bib record fixed fields should be "y", for
   "web resource"
   2. The record should include a 008 field with "s" selected for "form
   item"
   3. The 245 title field must have the GMD "electronic resource" in an
   "h"subfield
   4. If the resource is by subscription for your library's patrons only,
place the URL in the *item* record, in an 856 field. The first
indicator should be 4, the second is blank.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
Ellen
