[MinervaCats] Example of 856 not working

The Icode1 field is essentially a freebie that a library can use for
their own needs, like Valerie is using. There is no system-wide use of
that field, and it doesn't have an effect on 856 fields.
For those who don't know, you are able to use the Icode1 for any purpose
your library chooses. It is numeric, up to 5 digits, but maxes out at
32,767. (Odd, I know, but it's on p. 105769 of the manual and I tested
it). So if you have a need to code items, the Icode1 field is available.

Just for clarification, we use the icode1 field to designate whether a
book being cataloged is new. 207 means that we bought the book and it
was cataloged in Feb. 2007. 8 means the book was donated and 9 is
retrospective cataloging. Karl told us a while ago that it would be ok
that it would be ok to use Icode1 in that way. I don't see how that
would effect anything with the bib record, but I wanted to let people
that is why there are numbers there.

Hi Valerie,
The only thing that looks unusual to me in the item record is the icode
1 of 207. Do all of your items have this icode? What does this code
mean? Most icodes are set to 0, but CML has 16. Deb and Jon, does this
have any significance?
Ulla
At the catalogers meeting I brought up that some of the 856 fields were
not showing up properly. I just attached my item to bib record
b23569360, Palestine: peace not apartheid. When I went to check the 856
in the public display there is nothing displayed except the CMCC info it
also does not let me return to the previous screen using the back
button. When I scoped to all minerva locations it worked fine. I tried
scoping to a few other places. Scoping to Auburn worked fine, but
neither Curtis nor Bailey appeared to be working (I didn't check all of
the locations). Any thoughts?
