Hi Cats,
Finding some of the miscoded A/V and large print materials can easily be
done from the OPAC.
Example: To find your videos miscoded as books,,choose "dewey call number"
under type of search and put in the first part of your "call#", i.e. Vid
and scope to your own library.
After you get your list, click on "limit/sort" and choose "printed
material" under 'material type". This will give you the videos miscoded as
books.
Searching all libraries with a call# starting with Vid results in over 900
miscoded records. Yes, a few in this list are books by Gore Vidal.
You will also find A/V materials that somehow ended up in print bibs when
they were loaded. These will be a little more time consuming to take care
of, but fixing the material type in the bib is quick and easy.
Use the same method to find your miscoded large print and audiobooks.
Would be wonderful to get these fixed to cut down on receiving the wrong
media in ILL shipments.
