Hi Katherine,
Please refer to the authority record we have for LeSieg, Theo in our database, a11334915. 'Works by this author are entered under the name used in the item.' The 700 field should not be used for an alternative name for the same author. We do have proper authority records in Minerva so that people can be referred from Dr. Seuss to LeSieg and vice versa if searching for works listed under either author.

Hi gpl, lpl,rkd, roc
My question is about the book, "Hooper Humperdink...not him!",
b22436601. The author is Theo. LeSieg, but on the title page it says
"By Dr. Seuss*" and below "*writing as Theo. LeSieg." Shouldn't the
author be Dr. Seuss and in 700 MARC Theo. LeSieg?
thanks
Katherine
