            Searching

5. Suppressed bib records (Examples list 170)

6. Duplicate record problem (Bonnie Collins)

Library 1 creates minimal order records.

Library 2 adds a better record but does not overlaying the first one.

Library 1 receives the book, but does not merge record.

7. Volume field on item record (from Ellen Conway)

At a previous meeting, it was decided that an appropriate use of the volume field would be to note the absence of an accompanying item, i.e. when a specific copy of a book that normally includes an inserted CD lacks the actual disc. I am wondering how to treat a "similar but different" situation. We have a copy of the bravest dog ever: the true story of Balto that has an accompanying CD. ISBN 0394896955 is already in the Minerva catalog with many libraries holding a copy. However, none of them appears to include a CD. Do you think it's appropriate for me to use the existing bib record, but include a volume note on our item record that states "Falmouth copy includes CD recording of text"?

8. GuiCat (Bonnie Collins)

9. Impact of change in default for INPUT LIBR and INITIALS (Rebecca Frances)

10. Additional issues from participants.

11. Feed back on use of the ATM sites.
