[MinervaCats] [MINERVA-L] missing item records/serials cards

Hi all,
I had a report of this a few days ago & opened a ticket with III about
it. Sorry, I should have let people know this is going on. As far as
we have been able to tell, this happens when transferring item records
from one bib to another. If you are prompted whether or not to retain
the original bib, and say yes, and then later (after verifying the
transfer worked) go back and delete the original bib manually, the item
record is also deleted, even though it is supposed to be attached to the
new bib. This should only be a problem if your library is the only one
owning the item, or if you are one of the few unscoped catalogers who
can move around other people's item records. In any other case, you
will not be prompted to delete the original bib & you should be fine. I
need to get back to III because I got a message from them today & it
seems they perhaps did not fully understand the issue, but I will let
you know when I get a resolution to this issue.

We have been having an issue with some of our item records
dissappearing.
We have also noticed an unusual number of item records disappearing.
When this used to happen occaisonally we assumed it was because an item
had been lost and withdrawn, and then returned. But lately we've had a
number of items come back with current due dates stamped on them, but
find when we scan them that they are no longer in the system. We also
had records for six different titles in a popular children's paperback
series disappear from the system.
