There are three DVDs available, and the loan period is one week. You are welcomed to burn the DVD or copy it to your computer. To request please follow the instructions below: Request through Millennium, as the DVDs are suppressed in the OPAC. Remember to sign the sheet so your library will get credit for watching, and it is the responsibility of whoever watches to let others know what they missed if all catalogers at the library do not view it. You can view it as a group (meaning area libraries can watch it together, or all catalogers at a library can watch it together), but remember to sign the sheet. This is the first attempt and you will need to turn the volume up high. We will hope the quality will improve as we do more. The studio at MSL is not great, but the room configuration at Falmouth and Husson is better for taping meetings. The cataloging committee asks everyone for his or her patience as we try this alternative. Any questions about this please contact Ann Russell at Lithgow Library, annr at lithgow.lib.me.us as she is the "attendance keeper." Thank-you, Katherine, chair Katherine R. Libraries with a scoped login would see a message saying something like "out of scope." In the days of GUICat, every cataloging login was unscoped so everybody had the ability to delete any item, whether they owned it or not. That changed with Millennium cataloging, and we've tried to limit the number of unscoped logins. If your cataloging login has a "u" before "cat", e.g. libucat rather than just libcat, that is an unscoped login. If you don't use a login with a "u" and want to verify if your login is scoped or not, I can check for you. If you have an unscoped login, please be very careful when transferring item records from one bib record to another. I don't know of any other reason that items would just disappear from the database besides being mistakenly deleted.
