[MinervaCats] Name Authority Control and LC Subject Heading workshop at EMCC

After yesterday's storm perhaps it would be nice to think about August.
Several catalogers have requested a workshop on Name Authority Control and
LC Subject Headings in the Bangor area. I have scheduled one for August 4 in
the library lab at Eastern Maine Community College from 9:30 - 12:30. It is
now on the calendar so you can register when you are ready. Both Minerva and
SOLAR libraries are welcome to attend.
We will discuss selecting the correct form of personal and corporate names
to add to bib records and will review the nature of Library of Congress
subject heading and how to correctly add them to bib records.

Just a reminder that with a few exceptions, Minerva and SOLAR both use
Library of Congress headings in all bib records.
