Hi Lisa,
We put a note field in the item record for everything we add.
Current "on order" recods only have the year, i.e. 2008 and
we add the month when we receive the item.

Yes, it is important to be consistent for listmaking purposes.
Our note for items received in June is 200806.

Our copy also does not have the subtitle. We corrected the bib record.
Thank you.

Hello all -

I've run into a hurdle cataloging "Emi and the rhino scientist"
(b24334935). The existing record indicates there is a subtitle, "saving
species from extinction," but my copy does not have any subtitle.
Everything else matches. Can some double-check their copy?

Thank you!

Hi, catalogers,

I've just added a new Imessage: g Includes Game (if you're in cataloging
now, you'll need to log out of Millennium and back in to see it in the
list).

Lisa Nason at Unity College said they received a book with a game in the
back, so I added this since I'm sure other libraries have books with
games in them.

Imessages are a great way to add a standard note to item records.
Remember, there will be a pop-up box everytime an item is checked in or
out as a reminder to circ staff that the item includes something extra
or is on-the-fly or needs to go to repair or cataloging.

We are able to have a maximum of 32 codes for this field and are
currently using 13, so there's room to add codes. Let me know if there's
something you think should be added. The message has to be generic so
that it can be used by all Minerva libraries.

On that note, does anyone use the Imessage "Junior Tape"? I've never
know what that one is for, since a location or call number would
indicate that the item is a Junior Tape, and I don't know that you'd
want a pop-up box each time one is checked in or out.

Thanks,
Deb
