Hi Katherine and all,
I also find paragraph 1 confusing. Could it just simply state: Remove 090
and 092?
Couldn't find bib 21125277 either. Maybe it was merged with another bib.
There are plenty of these examples in list #437. Please take a close look
to make sure
that they have individual titles before removing the volume field. I
haven't had time to
look at all of them. Would be great to get some help to fix these. The
unnecessary
volume fields trigger items level holds when reserved from the OPAC.
Thanks,
Ulla

Hi,
I have read the notes from the meeting and I need a few clarifications.
1.
New bib records, call number field in bib record....deleted or
altered before
record is saved. Marc tag 090 or 092: change to 050 or 082 or remove
them and change the "c" code on left to "y" or the call number will
override the item record
call number.
I thought we were deleting MARC 090 and 092. In addition, I remember
hearing that we were not to change the code to the left of the MARC
tags. Has this rule changed?
To find out which codes are attached to which Marc tags click on "Insert"
and review the drop-down menu where the codes are shown to the left of
the tags.
Where do you click for Insert?
2.
Question: Graphic Novel sets:
Example of when a volume field is not needed: B21125277.
When I tried to look-up the bib number I got a message that said
digit invalid.
Thanks
Katherine
