[MinervaCats] Parenting Magazine

I took one course in serials cataloging in the mid 70s (Yikes-that's over 30
years ago!!), and I do remember the instructor saying that serials were a
lot like families...splitting, marrying, dying, having children, etc. I
also remember that she rolled her eyes a lot in the course....

I believe that Parenting should be closed (2009 added after the -) with
cross references made to the new magazines, and there should be 2 new bib
records-one for each of the new titles-each with a check in card
attached....

Does that sound right? J

Whoops--you brought in Parenting : school years, and someone else brought in
Parenting : early years. They should be cataloged separately, if I didn't
make that clear in the last message--(I have always hated serials
cataloging).

I'm waiting to see how the other catalogers want to handle this (It's a
cataloging issue) I will keep you posted. I have all of the issues on the
cataloging cart right now to remind me to nag my cataloging buds tomorrow or
Friday.
