Just a couple of comments:
I was often confused by "in house only" and "library use only" they seemed to have pretty much the same meaning to me, so eliminating one of them would be good.
Also, we did use the "storytime" status when pulling a book to save for storytime use, if it's eliminated, what status would you reccomend for a book that has been removed from the "available" status for this purpose?

Subject: [MinervaCats] Item status codes
By now everyone has read the minutes from the May 15th Cataloging Users Group meeting and is aware that the Cataloging Standards committee is working on updating the item record status codes. The goal is to define clearly the meaning of each code, make changes where necessary, and to publish a fact sheet that will available to assist both cataloging and circulation staff.
The committee has found that some of these codes mean different things to different libraries. We understand that it can be challenging to change the way we do certain things, but believe it is in the best interest of all Minerva libraries to standardize status codes.
Please take a few moments now to review these proposed definitions and changes again. The committee would like to hear your comments and suggestions before finalizing this project in July.
