Teacher Leader Institute with Bernie Dodge, the creator of WebQuest
March 12 & 13, 2006
 
A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented activity in which most or all of the
information used by learners is drawn from the Web. WebQuests are designed
to use learners' time well, to focus on using information rather than
looking for it, and to support learners' thinking at the levels of analysis,
synthesis and evaluation. The model was developed in early 1995 at San Diego
State University by Bernie Dodge with Tom March, and was outlined then in
Some Thoughts About WebQuests. Webquest is a strong literacy strategy and
one of most engaging ways for students to deal with content across the

This special institute will bring together the MLTI Teacher Leaders and
eMINTS Teacher Leaders for a one and a half day intense learning experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to network, celebrate work and build skills.
We will reflect on the past, plan for the next school year and for the
future of MLTI.  A complete agenda will follow.
