[MLTI-HS] Additional MacBook and Modem Orders

Dear MLTI Schools,

ADDITIONAL MACBOOK NEEDS
Based upon feedback received at the Leadership sessions, the  
Department is placing a second order for additional MacBook computer  
devices. If your High School did not submit a complete list of staff  
names at the initial order deadline, please provide the missing  
information to the Department by following the link labeled  
"Additional MacBook Orders" found at http://www.maine.gov/mlti/ 
educator/ . The deadline for submissions is 2 p.m., Friday, October  
19, 2007. This is the final opportunity to identify eligible staff  
members who were not submitted previously.

In addition, if your school would like to purchase additional seats  
of the program for ineligible staff, you may do so by following the  
same link, "Additional MacBook Orders" found at http://www.maine.gov/ 
mlti/educator/ . Seats of the MLTI program for ineligible staff will  
cost $300 per seat per year for 4 years. First annual payments will  
be due to the Department by December 15, 2007. All associated MLTI  
policies and protocols, support and warranty will accompany these  
locally funded devices. The deadline for submissions is 2 p.m.,  
Friday, October 19, 2007. This is the final opportunity to purchase  
locally funded MacBooks for ineligible staff through the MLTI program.

DIAL UP MODEM NEEDS
The Department can, and will, provide dial up modems for any MLTI  
MacBook user as needed. If your school missed the last order, or your  
need has increased, please submit new needs online at http:// 
www.maine.gov/mlti/educator/ . Follow the link "Modem Orders". Please  
submit information for confirmed modem needs, and do not order modems  
"just in case". The Department does not want to purchase equipment  
that is not needed. The deadline for submissions is 2 p.m., Friday,  
October 19, 2007. The Department will place additional orders for  
modems in the future as the need arises.
