[MLTI-HS] 2008 - 2009 Teacher Leader Information

Dear MLTI Leadership Teams,

Thank you for your continued support of the work being done in your  
school to leverage technology to support all students. Your leadership  
remains foundational to the success of the Maine Learning Technology  
Initiative. In recognition of the importance of the contribution of  
your MLTI Teacher Leader, the Department is pleased to continue to  
provide a $1,000 stipend to the MLTI Teacher Leader this school year,  
which will be paid in a single payment in spring 2009.

The work completed last year, particularly the school notebooks, has  
been instrumental to our planning. The MLTI Fall Meeting is a direct  
result of our review of those notebooks. Having the opportunity to  
view a snapshot of the huge variety of ways that Maine teachers are  
using technology in support of their teaching and of student learning  
is exciting.

The main role of the MLTI Teacher Leader is to continue being the  
voice of the faculty as schools continue to move forward and learn  
about how to most effectively leverage the tools and opportunities  
that technology offers. This year's MLTI Teacher Leader stipend  
requirements are detailed on the Teacher Leader Information Sheet.  
Please take time to review these requirements with your Leadership team.
