Welcome to the start of the 2007–08 MEA Online Program

MEA Online System Bulletin #1 has been posted to: http://itest.measuredprogress.org/maine/ 
. This System Bulletin contains important information, dates, and  
milestones for the 2007–08 MEA Online Testing System.

New Application Implemented!

The MEA Online Testing System is now completely web-based, making it  
easy to administer with minimal initial setup. Additionally, the Test  
Delivery Server (TDS) will now be centrally hosted by Measured  
Progress and will no longer need to be installed by schools.

If your school would like to continue receiving information about the  
2007–08 MEA Online Testing System, including further information about  
the new web-based application, training information, and practice test  
access, please send an email to mcnally.deborah at measuredprogress.org  
with the information listed below. Receiving information does not mean  
that your school will be registered to participate in the MEA using  
the MEA Online System.

· School name
· District name
· Contact Information for MEA Online Coordinator(s) including:
	o First and Last name
      	o Job title
	o E-mail address
	o Telephone number

The person(s) responsible for coordinating the MEA Online at your  
school may include, but are not limited to, the school principal/test  
coordinator, technology support specialist, and 8th grade guidance  
counselor.

A training and support podcast will be posted on December 20th at the  
following web site with more details regarding this new system: http://itest.measuredprogress.org/maine

In-person training workshops will be held during the week of January  
21st. See the attached System Bulletin #1 for more information on  
training and the podcast. Registration information for the workshops  
will be communicated in a subsequent bulletin.
