Technology Integration into Middle Level Mathematics

Dates/Locations:   
* February 28 and March 29, 2007 in Auburn
* March 1 and March 29, 2007 in Bangor

Time: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (each session)

The ³Technology Integration into Middle Level Mathematics² Professional
Development is designed to assist middle level mathematics teachers in the
infusion of interactive technology tools and applets into the mathematics
curriculum. This experience incorporates strategies and resources developed
during the Maine Impact Study of Technology in Mathematics (MISTM) Project.
The opportunity includes two full days face-to-face and email support during
the classroom implementation.
 
Participants will begin the experience by attending a one-day, face-to-face,
hands-on session on either February 28th or March 1st, which will be
followed by integration of activities within the classroom supported through
email communication. The final session will include an additional daylong,
face-to-face, hands-on session on March 29th or March 30th.  Please note
that space is limited for all sessions.
