MLTI is pleased to announce our Spring 2007 Content Meetings! These two,
valuable day-long meetings will be held in several locations, and you can
choose to go to one or both.

Day 1 - Literacy - Working with Digital Text, with Barbara Greenstone

In a 1-1 computing classroom, students are interacting more and more with
digital text.  In this session, we will discuss and practice strategies for
reading and writing digitally and explore some of the tools available on the
laptops as well as web resources.  Participants will be working in a
NoteShare notebook which they can adapt and personalize for their own
classroom use.

Day 2 - Inquiry Learning in Math and Science, with Phil Brookhouse

The process of asking good questions and making predictions is a foundation
for deep and engaged learning. 1-1 computing gives the opportunity to
interact with data and do problem solving. This session will provide
experience with math applets and MyWorld as foundations for inquiry-based
learning.
