RE: Maine Laptop Survey Data Needed Please

As the school year comes to a close, we are once again asking for your
participation in having your 7th and 8th grade teachers, and their students,
complete the online MLTI surveys referenced below.  The surveys will not
take students more than 10 minutes to complete.

The survey results will enable us to determine how the laptops have been
used with students over the course of the year.  The results will also be
used to report to the Commissioner and Legislature, to gather evidence for
use in applying for grant funds and to provide feedback to Maine educators.
 All schools who participate in both the Fall 2006 (7th grade students only)
and Spring 2007 surveys will receive a report showing the pre- and post-
survey results for their school as well as a comparison with other
participating schools throughout the state.

Surveys should be completed by June 4, 2007.
