Studywiz Admin Training for those currently in the role of MLTI
Studywiz School Admin.
(Expected audience: those staff familiar with the needs of the school
and are in a position to be able to help manage this process.)
This free training session will provide MLTI Studywiz School Admins
with information on how to manage and use Studywiz from an
administrator's perspective. Learn how users are added to the
system, how passwords are managed, about the Studywiz admin workflow,
how to manage your school's users/classes, what admin-type features
can be given to teachers, manage messaging and activities, creating
induction letters, how to create local groups for in school
collaboration across different classes with teachers and students,
and more.
The full day session will be delivered by employees of Etech Group,
the developers of Studywiz, Apple MLTI Project team members, and
State of Maine DOE staff.
There will be 3 one-day sessions offered at the Apple Pineland office
located in New Gloucester ME at the Pineland Center. Directions to
Pineland can be found below:
Session 1: December 11, 2007
Session 2: December 12, 2007
Session 3: December 13, 2007
Please register for training sessions by going to http://
www.maine.gov/mlti/educator/ and clicking on the "Studywiz School
Admin Training" link.
Maximum capacity for each session is 16 participants, so please
register EARLY. Registration will close on December 7th, 2007.
Notes:
- Please bring your own MLTI iBook or MacBook.
- If you have forgotten your Studywiz School Admin userid/password,
please make sure you confirm it prior to attending the session.
- If there are specific questions that you would like addressed, feel
free to send them to studywizsupport at mlti.org prior to Dec 10th with
the Subject heading "Question for School Admin Training".
Directions to Pineland:

Pineland Center, from the Maine Turnpike Exit 63
1. Take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 63 (formerly Exit 11) in Gray, Maine.
2. Bear to the right after the toll booth, toward the center of Gray
Village. 3. Stay in the right lane. At the first intersection, go
straight through the light onto Route 115.
4. Continue on Route 115 (East) for 1.6 miles, then turn left onto
Depot Road.
5. Continue on Depot Road for 2.8 miles to a stop sign.
6. Turn left at the stop sign onto Route 231/Intervale Road.
7. Drive approximately 800 feet and turn left through the main
entrance to Pineland (between stone walls; just past white fenced
flower garden on right).
8. Upon entering the campus, look for Cumberland Hall near the rear
of the complex.
The Apple MLTI Project Office is in Suite 301 (3rd Floor) and the
Apple Training Room is in Suite 201 (2nd Floor).
From I-295 Exit 22
1. Take Exit 22 (Freeport); at top of ramp, turn left onto Route 125
(Mallet Drive).
2. Go approximately 350 feet and take first left onto Durham Road.
3. Go 0.2 mile; follow right-hand bend onto Pownal Road, which turns
into Elmwood Road.
4. Go 7.2 miles on Pownal/Elmwood Roads through intersection with
Route 9 to Allen Road.
5. Turn left onto Allen Road.
6. Go 1.8 miles; turn right onto Route 231 North (Intervale Road).
7. Drive approximately 800 feet and turn left through the main
