The information below was sent to you in a previous email:

We do hope that your school year is off to a great start. We are excited
to meet with you and your leadership team to discuss the progress of the
Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) in your school.

Maine has been named one of six 21st Century states, but even though we
lead the country in digital education, we still have work to do to
ensure engaging, rich inquiry-based learning experiences for all of our
children.

This year, we hope to focus on digital literacy, problem solving, and
social networking strategies to improve literacy and numeracy.
Discussion of and resources for the integration of the arts as it
relates to the Revised Learning Results will be part of this leadership
workshop. Please bring ideas and present school practices to share.

For the initial regional middle school leadership meetings, school-based
leadership teams are being asked to convene in each of the 9
superintendent regions. With the help of funds from Bank of America, we
will be funding a teacher leader for each school (see attached job
description). We hope to see your team at the meeting, which includes
the principal, teacher leader, librarian, and one technology lead.
