The MLTI is committed to supporting best instructional practices in
literacy and numeracy. Middle school teachers across Maine are
finding NoteShare to be a powerful tool for supporting literacy and
numeracy in all subjects. In this workshop we will explore the
NoteShare features and some of the pedagogical strategies we have
found most useful in the classroom, view examples, and construct new
notebooks.

Participants should come prepared with content ideas and materials to
include in a notebook that they will construct during the course of
the day (Please bring your laptops). We ask that you arrive between
8:30 and 8:45 to allow time to sign in and test the connectivity of
your laptops. The training will begin promptly at 9:00 and end at
3:00. Lunch will be on your own.

This is a continuation of the schedule we started before the 2007
winter holidays and we will keep you updated as the schedule expands
to include more regions.

The link to online registration, the agenda and directions to our
locations can be found at: http://www.maine.gov/mlti/educator/
(under Middle School Maine Learning Technology Initiative, then
select MS Teacher Trainings - Supporting Literacy and Numeracy with
NoteShare).

If you have any questions, please contact me via phone or email.

Thank you
Juanita
