This is a reminder that we are working to continue gathering
information about the Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) and
ask that your MS students take a brief survey.
This survey is being conducted by a research team from the Maine
Education Policy Research Institute (MEPRI), on behalf of the Maine
Department of Education. The research team will report their findings
to the Maine Department of Education and the state legislature.
If you had not had a chance to have your Middle School students take
this survey, there is still time as the survey will remain open to the
end of June.
This year’s spring survey is focused on collecting information about
students’ use of various technological devices both inside and outside
of school. The following questions will ask students about their use
of some of the following technological devices and Internet resources:
laptop computer, cell phone, Smartphone (Blackberry, iPhone), blogs,
online and video games, email, and social networking sites.
Students’ participation in the survey is voluntary and their identity
and responses are confidential and will not be shared with anyone
(teachers, principal, parents). We hope you will take a few minutes to
have your students thoughtfully answer the survey questions.
