MLTI Downeast Regional Trainer/Mentor


MSAD 37 is seeking applicants for a Regional Trainer/Mentor supporting  
the Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) by providing high  
quality professional development for teachers and other educators  
throughout the Downeast region. The position is for the 2009-2010  
school year with the possibility of one additional year pending the  
receipt of funding.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, plus a minimum of three years of  
K-12 teaching experience. Current valid Maine teaching certification.  
Experience with multimedia instructional technologies (includes  
computer, printer, scanner, digital camera).Knowledge of inquiry-based  
and cooperative learning methodologies. Strong interpersonal  
relationship skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
Experience presenting professional development activities. Self- 
starter, self-motivated.

Preferred: A Master’s degree in education, plus five years K-12  
teaching experience. Current valid Maine teaching certification.  
Proficiency in multimedia instructional technologies (includes  
computer, printer, scanner, digital camera). Experience as an MLTI  
teacher/technology integrator. Experience in presenting professional  
development to teachers.

This position is funded solely through a grant from the US Department  
of Education under No Child Left Behind Act Title IID Enhancing  
Education Through Technology under contract from the Maine Department  
of Education with MSAD 37. Funding is presently available for two  
years pending the USDOE NCLBA award.
