From Peter.Bernard at maine.gov Tue Jan 6 10:23:22 2009 From: Peter.Bernard at maine.gov (Bernard, Peter) Date: Tue, 6 Jan 2009 10:23:22 -0500 Subject: [PAAP] Task Bank Correction Message-ID: <32E5C6B0B949584D9B6168C5F727916B0529185A@SOM-TEAQASMAIL1.som.w2k.state.me.us> Correction Good morning! An error was found in Task 2 of Math A2, Rubric Level 2, Level of Complexity 2 - the Responses Expected from Student were incorrect for items 2 and 3. This error has been fixed, and the task has been re-posted to the Task Bank online. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this might have caused. Kim and I were very careful to review each task before they went on the Task Bank, but this one seemed to have slipped past us! If you are planning to use this task for your student's PAAP, we recommend downloading it from the online Task Bank at the PAAP website, rather than using the version included on the CD. If you do use Math A2 RL2 LoC2 from the CD, please make a note on the Task Description, correcting the responses. Thank you, and have a safe and prosperous New Year! Measured Progress will be mailing letters to school principals on Thursday, January 22. These mailings will contain instructions for registering students on the Measured Progress website (http://iservices.MeasuredProgress.org) - including the school's username and password combinations - as well as student information worksheets to be filled out by teachers. Registration of students begins on February 3. The window for registration will remain open until February 20. Please be vigilant: if your school's principal does not notify you that registration materials have been received, we strongly urge you to contact your principal and ask. ******************************************* Your Opportunity to Get Involved Measured Progress is currently seeking educators to take part in PAAP Scoring this April, and Standard Setting in June. These are valuable opportunities to see the complete cycle of the PAAP process, meet and learn from other educators involved, and contribute your voice to the continuing development of the Personalized Alternate Assessment Portfolio. To register as a PAAP Scorer, go online to http://iservices.MeasuredProgress.org. For standard Setting, visit Measured Progress online at http://iregister.MeasuredProgress.org. If you would like more information about these two important opportunities, please visit the PAAP Website (www.maine.gov/education/lsalt/paap/index.html), or contact Niki Carr (carr.niki at MeasuredProgress.org) or Michelle Couture (couture.michelle at MeasuredProgress.org) at Measured Progress. Niki and Michelle can also be reached by phone at 1-800-431-8901.
