From Peter.Bernard at maine.gov Thu Mar 12 15:25:07 2009 From: Peter.Bernard at maine.gov (Bernard, Peter) Date: Thu, 12 Mar 2009 15:25:07 -0400 Subject: [PAAP] Standard Setting, Scoring Venues Revised Message-ID: <32E5C6B0B949584D9B6168C5F727916B05291A23@SOM-TEAQASMAIL1.som.w2k.state.me.us> 2009 PAAP Scoring and Standard Setting Venues Revised Due to the economic situation in Maine, and the need for the Maine Department of Education to cut costs, a decision has been made to merge our two Scoring sites - Bangor and Freeport - into one Scoring session at one site: the Hilton Garden Inn in Freeport. As already scheduled, Scoring in Freeport will take place after school vacations, from April 28th through the 30th. Standard Setting has been changed as well. This year, Standard Setting will be held in Augusta, at the Burton Cross Office Building (behind the Statehouse), on June 9th & 10th, from 8:00am - 4:30pm. We Need You for Standard Setting Special Education teachers, General Education teachers, Science teachers, and Administrators: We still need educators to come to Standard Setting! If you're interested in gaining a whole new perspective on the PAAP process, networking with other educators from throughout Maine, and gaining hours of professional development credits, we hope you'll join us. A few of the other perks include: * Mileage to and from Augusta; * Overnight accommodations (if you live over 75 miles away); * Breakfast and lunches provided; * Stipend for evening meals (at government rate); and * Substitute reimbursement. To register for Standard Setting, please go online to http://iservices.MeasuredProgress.org For more information, or to arrange for overnight accommodations, please e-mail Measured Progress: Michelle Couture - couture.michelle at measuredprogress.org Niki Carr - carr.niki at measuredprogress.org Thank you for your continued commitment to this important process! -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
