Community-Campus Partnerships for Health Annual Awards
October 22, 2008
Health partnerships between communities and institutions of higher
education can apply for the Community-Campus Partnerships for Health
(CCPH) Annual Awards.
The CCPH Annual Awards promote partnerships that feature a variety of
programs and projects, from service learning to research. The awards
recognize exemplary partnerships that "build on each other's strengths
to improve higher education, civic engagement, and the overall health of
communities," according to the group.
"The intent of the award is to highlight the power and potential of
community-campus partnerships as a strategy for social justice. The
award recognizes partnerships that are striving to achieve the systems
and policy changes needed to overcome the root causes of health, social,
and economic inequalities."
Application deadline is Jan. 30, 2009. For more details, see the CCPH
website. http://ccph.info
