[Provider] Update on Targeted Case Management

[Provider Notification]

Attention:  All Targeted Case Management Providers:

 

Dear Providers,

 

We have talked with CMS about our difficulties with putting systems in
place to deal with these changes such that we will be in compliance with
the TCM rules on March 1, 2008.  They have agreed to review our
compliance workplan that we will submit next week and to work with us to
achieve compliance as quickly as possible. Our staff are drafting that
plan now.

 

What this means for you is that you can continue to deliver services
until we give you reasonable notice exactly how to transition or end
what you do.  I know a number of you were about to provide notices to
clients and staff - I suggest you work with us to understand exactly
what this will mean for the people you serve so that their needs can be
addressed in our plan to comply.  We want to be as fully informed by you
as is possible within these time frames.

 

Kathy Bubar (Kathy.bubar at maine.gov) is serving as lead for the
Department, so please forward any items that you think we need to
address in our plan by Wednesday of next week.
