[Provider] Billing Reminder for Providers Billing W-codes

[Provider Notification]

ATTENTION:     All MaineCare Providers billing W-codes

 

Providers billing W-codes are reminded that:

*         weekly billing periods should be Sunday to Saturday

*         claim service dates should not cross months or years;

providers can successfully bill during these periods by splitting the
week

*         providers should never bill for a single day

 

In the case of next week, the last week of February, it is suggested
that providers bill in three increments:

Sunday, February 24th to Friday, February 29th 

Saturday, March 1st to Tuesday, March 4th and 

Wednesday March 5th to Saturday, March 8th.

 

Following these instructions is important for claims to pay correctly.
Please review the MaineCare billing instructions for additional
