[Provider] UPDATE on Proposed Changes in Targeted Case Management

ATTENTION:  MaineCare Providers of Targeted Case Management Services

 

Recently passed legislation by the federal government has delayed the
implementation of several proposals by the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS).  Among these are the previously proposed
changes in Targeted Case Management (TCM) services.

 

Although the bulk of the federal TCM rules are now under a moratorium -
there are still some aspects of those revisions that Maine may still
need to implement.  

 

As a result, MaineCare Services will not proceed, at this time, with its
previously proposed TCM rule-making.  The current thinking is that
changes for targeted case management will be proposed again, at a later
time.
