[Provider] Filing MaineCare Claims for LCPC, LMFT, CRN and RN Services

[Provider Notification]

ATTENTION:            MaineCare Providers who are Licensed Clinical
Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists,
Registered Nurses - Certified and Registered Nurses 

Services provided by LCPCs, LMFTs, CRNs and RNs can be billed to
MaineCare without the Medicare Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for
procedure codes H0004, H2000 and H2010.   These claims must be submitted
to MaineCare on paper claim forms.  Any claims submitted electronically
will deny.

Prior to the revisions of Section 65, providers were able to bill
specific or local codes for these servicing provider services.  New
Section 65 policy uses general, HIPAA compliant codes that cover
multiple licensure types.  This requires MaineCare to review these types
of claims manually, in order for them to process correctly.
